We are pleased to announce that SCA Hygiene have appointed Robinson Young to sell and distribute their best selling TENA and Bodyform brands. Robinson Young will service customers from the independent grocery, wholesale and convenience sectors.
SCA Hygiene is a global consumer goods and paper company with approximately 51,000 employees worldwide – their Personal Care division includes the well known Incontinence and Feminine hygiene brands, TENA and Bodyform.
Bladder weakness is a widespread condition affecting 6 million people in the UK. It is as common as hayfever, affecting men and women of all ages. The UK Incontinence market is currently valued at £44.4 million with SCA’s TENA brand representing 82.4% of the total market. The brand was supported by a £6 million marketing spend in 2007.
The UK Feminine external protection market is currently valued at £172 million. Supported by a £4 million marketing spend in 2007, Bodyform is the 2nd biggest brand in the Feminine external protection market, and the only brand to cover towels (Maxi and Ultra) and liners.
The partnership is intended to improve the local sales representation, improve service, increase the frequency of deliveries, ensure customers are in stock and increase sales for all concerned.
